In June I submitted a Grants for the Arts application to the Arts Council to develop a project with a team of dancers, a musician and filmmaker. The 'Artist Leadership and Skills Development Project' is a chance to develop technical skills, a physical language and to develop movement ideas and choreography for potential future work.
I've just had confirmation that my application has been sucessfull, which is absolutely fantastic news. The application has been supported by The Works Dance and Theatre Cornwall, University College Falmouth, The Barbican Theatre (Plymouth), Abigail Reeve (Stop Gap Dance Company), and Cath James. Also a huge thank you to my mentor Lois Taylor for supporting the application.
The Project will take place at University College Falmouth, at the Performance Centre later on this year. We will be opening morning class up to dancers in the region and also be holding open sharing's of the work being produced.
Please contact me if you want to be kept informed of any of the classes and sharing's
