Collaborative Ventures - Music.Film.Dance.Art.

In 2009 musicians Dom Lawton (Kneehigh, Dom Coyote Music), Emily Barker, (Emily Barker and the Red Clay Halo),  filmmaker Brett Harvey (O-region) and myself started working on the collaborative venture "Vena Portae". After a three-week residency as part of  Kneehigh Theatres ‘Asylum’ programme at Battersea Arts Centre (BAC) Emily Barker and Dom Lawton created Vena Portae,  a collaborative project with artists from several other disciplines. As part of the research for the project Dom and Emily travelled to Cornwall where along with Brett Harvey and myself, explored cross disciplinary ideas at various sites in Cornwall (Geevor Mines, The Eden Project and the China Clay Pits), with a view to creating potential future performances.

This research period is documented in a wordpress site written by Emily and Dom, including photos (Emily Dobson) and a short film (Brett Harvey). Please follow the link below to visit the Vena Portae's wordpress site.

Dom and Emily are also currently touring and performing across the UK, at various venues, visit their sites below take a peak and a listen at their work if you haven't already...
